Transfusion Student Performance Troupe

 

Transfusion is Boheme's sister student troupe directed by Sarah S. Students learn and perform choreography based in today's ever-changing  Fusion genre. This group performs throughout Kalamazoo and the Great Lakes region. Transfusion enjoys experimenting with a variety of themes, including Vintage, Gothic, and Steampunk, as well as the roots of the Fusion movement as influenced by Jill Parker, Suhaila Salimpour, Rachel Brice, Mardi Love, Kami Liddle, Zoe Jakes, Ariellah, and many more. Their musical choices range from Egyptian classics to hip hop to goth/industrial to world fusion to you-name-it! A heavy dose of belly dance history, studies of pioneering dancers, costuming, music theory/musicality, and prop usage are part of the Transfusion program.
